This work is part of Adrian Pocobelli’s Composites series, which combines different images, usually JPGs, of the same artwork, which are sourced from Google image queries. In Composite: The Entombment, the artist uses four JPG versions of Michelangelo’s unfinished painting to create a unique synthesis with its own digital aesthetic. The series taps into one of the artist’s favourite themes — the representation of art — and poses questions on how art and history are passed down to us through technology.
This edition is limited to only 10 prints and includes a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
